Italian ink well ‘Inchiostro’
In June 1944, a hospital train brought prisoners who were chronically unfit to work back to Italy. Among them was Andrea Ascheri, who wrote a report about his time as a prisoner of war during the trip. He died in 1947 as a result of having contracted tuberculosis.
